Interesting Concepts and/or No Romance

Complex and tightly-connected storytelling and development with changing perspectives that put me in awe. I doubt I have ever read a series where the conflicts and emotions of 3 main characters, whose relationships can't simply be defined by a few words, get so relatedly dissected and intriguingly intertwined.
On the theme of reclaiming one's self-identity under the pressure of social expectations, the story explores our dark sides and what would be the right course of action.
