the mc and ml are teenagers that actually act like teenagers! a novel concept, I know (lol), but it is actually quite refreshing to see. their dynamic is fun and they bounce off each other really well. a slow-burn type of romance with adventure and conspiracy at the forefront (for now).
the artist has a tendency to actually draw teeth on some characters, and it's seriously unnerving?? (you have been warned lol)
10/10 so far! the art is gorgeous, and the bad bitch energy that Haewon exudes is astounding. I haven't read many wuxia-type stories that I've liked, but this is an exception! all of the supporting cast has been fantastic so far, and the OG heroine is.....a good person!? a very, very worthwhile read, looking forward to more~
a knight fl x a knight ml, which is sort of a first in my book, as not many stories in this genre feature a couple like this. another betrayal-then-go-back-in-time type of story, but instead of revenge, it looks like fl just wants to live a better life. the ml seems like a pretty cool dude - a 2nd ml type made the primary ml. only thing is that I wish they would talk more about classism given the fls problems, but time will tell.
has good potential! another abused mc in the same vein as Under the Oak Tree. she's not as shy as Maxi imo, and largely lacks her cripplingly low self-esteem, but you can still see that her recovery is going to be on the slower side. not much romance so far, and mc actually seems a bit afraid of the ml at the moment given what he is, but the plot is interesting and when she learns to finally work with the ml, you can tell her revenge against her shitty family will no doubt be satisfying.
what the title says, lol! pretty unique concept and set up, with a nice use of dramatic irony in that we know who the mc is, but she doesn't - though she's doing her best to try and find out! a fun take on how aristocrats are treated in prison
this one has a lot of potential from what we have of it! the translation is preeeetty rough up until about chapter 16, when a new group takes over the tl, but the plot is good so far, and I enjoy how anachronistic the ml seems in a period piece like this. the fl is fun, too, and I like her development so far. also, relatable because we all cringe at the dumb stuff we wrote 10 years ago lol
