Cecile is the abandoned illegitimate princess who is chosen as a sacrificial bride to the cruel emperor Estian. Only instead of accepting that fate, she decides to take her whole country down with her. Finding that amusing, Estian plans for her to play an “evil empress” by his side to get the nobles and politicians off his back about marrying and producing an heir. Summary sounds serious but it’s a very light hearted story. Magic, multiple worlds, dragons, side pairings galore!
MC is a maid in a romance novel who ends up taking care of the neglected 2nd male lead who suffered endlessly in the book for his love. Huge ripple effect in that now he falls in love with her! Overall sweet, but possessive ML (she does take care of him as a child so if that freaks you out, avoid this!) who cares deeply for MC and her future, worth a read, but I don’t need to reread.
