ethan was abused by his father as a child and still carries the trauma from that part of his life. jimmy learns to support him through his struggles. the slow burn allows them to naturally deepen their relationship and mature as people.
hart has severe depression and is suicidal. jasper has some anxiety stemming from past issues. a bit clumsy at times, but cute nonetheless. ngl, the suicide part was kinda brushed over. the side characters are top tier, though.
