The author took their time with vivi’s transformation, which i didnt mind in the slightest. By the time she changed it didnt feel like unnatural character development was taking place, in fact by that time vivi’s relations with the characters had already been built up quite a bit, it felt more like the next chapter of their lives was taking place.
The FL is intelligent but not omnipotent, a very fine line many authors struggle to keep from crossing. Living in a family of psychopaths, it could be easy for her to either lose her humanity or be a meek, unfortunate protag dropped into the body of Roxanne, but she is neither. She is strong and assertive from her experiences, but also despises the person she is likened to: her father. Cassis’ appearance helps unveil her vulnerability which is satisfying to see. Love this
holy crap this story is absolutely spectacular. Heartbreaking to see the Protag struggle to return to her true life but so immersive and captivating to learn about how the world she is in works.
Was put off by the generic synopsis, but decided to give it a go. The story unfolds very delicately. Almost like a coming of age story
Competent and renowned ruler Zhou Qian is a warmhearted father to both his commonly referred “useless” son and two adoptive children Ming’er and his sister. Ming’er is a ferociously loyal dog to Zhou Qian, willing to follow his every order. But Zhou Qian felt his impending demise, and though coming a bit sooner than expected, he felt he could trust ming’er to carry on his legacy. So, why is the resigned Zhou Qian suddenly alive, blindfolded, and being interrogated by his loyal dog Ming’er?!
