Alex is a troubled teen, passionate about his friends and art, harsh on everything else. When he gets suspended from school, his mother decides to surprise him by bringing him back to the summer camp he used to go to as a child. He hesitates, as that place holds painful memories his mother doesn't know about, memories about a special boy named Leo and his beautiful, bright smile.

In a dystopic world where plants and animals have mutated and took over the world by infecting and killing humans, An Zhe is a little mushroom. After he takes the appearance and identity of a dying boy, he decides to roam the land of humans in search of his stolen spore. But the land of humans is dangerous, as they murder anyone who might be infected or a non-human in disguise. And the most dangerous of them all is Lu Feng, The Arbiter.

When his adoptive parents can't be bothered with Jiang Cheng anymore, they send him to his good-for-nothing biological father, in a small industrial town. The first person he meets is Gu Miao, a little girl who got lost near the station. Jiang Cheng helps her get a guardian to pick her up and that's how he meets Gu Fei, her "delinquent" older brother.

Two talented, passionate men (Shu Yun who's a male ballet dancer and Tong Yang who's a Beijing opera performer) meet as rivals and inspire each other. It's such a wonderful story about passion, love and loss, it truly proves that there's nothing better than having the right people by your side.
Edit: I need to re-read this.
