Sung Ho is an ex-soldier, now single father who seeks a peaceful environment for his baby girl to grow up in. He ends up moving in a small village that's exactly what he's been looking for, except... Haebeom, the head of the village, seems to be an asshole? A misunderstanding on Haebeom's side makes him feel so embarrassed he decides to help Sung Ho and his baby settle down. As they spend more time together, they find safety, comfort and understanding in each other.
Jinhyuk is a model student, but also a bystander. He'd never get involved in anything that could cause him problems, but he's avoiding "Heechan and his gang", a group of bullies, in particular. One day, taking a different path home, he witnesses Heechan getting beaten up by his abusive father on the street. Once again a bystander, he pretends he didn't see anything and Heechan is grateful for it.
