MC who specialises in the spear, betrayed by best friend and died, then returned to his childhood. I mean pretty standard stuff tbh, however it has solid world building and etc, almost the the point I lowkey just skim it cos it gets wordy and the names and titles are long so I forget who even has beef with who. The only thing I thought was unfortunate was the minor academy ‘arc’, they hyped it up in the earlier chapters like it was so prestigious, but he attended like two classes and it ended.
Similar concept to ‘1 Second’ with the firefighters but instead the MC in this one transmigrated back in time and has a system. The only two things I find kinda iffy is that the system aspect makes it unrealistic because his abilities are actual cheat codes eg. a shield that protects a certain radius for 5mins. And I also would’v like it better had the FL been another firefighter (just would’ve been more interesting) but it seems like there’s no female firefighters introduced yet (maybe never).
WOW it’s something new…well not entirely. It’s pretty good, I love how the author has made the whole ‘dimension, hunter, gates’ concept into their own unique version (portals). Humans are split into catergories: Immortals, Shapeshifters, Metahumans, Mages and just ordinary humans. I’m keen on this one and have high expectations.
MMA Champions transmigrates into murim world. It’s honestly abit odd seeing modern martial art poses in a murim setting but it’s quite funny and while the MC is a fighting addict he’s not the hotblooded and stupid type that just rushes in (aka all brawn and no brain).
Adding to the list specifically only for the art. The MC is OP to the point I can’t gauge how he compares to everything else. Within 20 chapters he got his revenge, destroyed multiple well known factions/sects and killed one of the four ‘great’ demons (not that great if they got solo’d tbh). It’s kinda boring cos you know he’ll be winning anyways but I’m keeping high hopes we get some good story development instead of him just riding plot armour.
One comment (‘trapped in maze’) made me think this was like The Maze Runner. But no it’s like a tower grinding system survival game type story but instead it’s basements. Each level has a different quest and some give out private individual missions. It’s very gory and brutal, they also use souls as currency. One thing that does irk me and I hope they explain it is how the MC was able to respawn everytime he died back to the start previously. It’s downplayed despite only he can do it.
Phenomenal so far. I love the little memes hidden in the story. I also love that we get to see the process of the MC healing his inner child. The story is also true to its summary, he really is ordinary (as ordinary as an MC can be) in a sense where it doesn’t feel like he’s just constantly recieving everything spoon-fed and there’s always a drawback to whatever he receives.
Heavenly Demon from murim world goes to transmigrate into a baron’s son and goes off to dominate the world (to put it very plainly and simply). It’s still a good read and I like the MC, OP, calculative, dominating. They emphasise a lot on his previous life personality and if/ or once you’ve read it you’ll understand when I say that I hope they don’t force a romance into this just to have romance, cos it really wouldn’t make sense. Especially with how the ‘potential FL’ is written.
At first it didn’t sound interesting, but because it was so highly reviewed I was curious. It’s gold, the humour, facial expressions, the mix of system genre with transmigration/isekai PLUS world building (literally). 10/10. If you know the MC’s Toua Tokuchi from One Out, or Yoichi Hiruma from Eyeshield 21, the MC is pretty similar to them with a greed for money and shamelessness. Check it out, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
