It's a very good narrative. The premise in an of itself is interesting from whatever angle it could've been approached, but this specific way was nothing short of genius. I think what hurts the most is that we can easily assume what it is that happened to Hart just from that little flashback almost at the beginning of the story, but that knowledge just serves as a false acknowledgement.
