you know the kinds of stories that are pretty typical, but just an enjoyable read? i can't really explain why exactly i enjoyed this so much, but this story about a guy who has to save his favorite second male lead was enjoyable right from the start. maybe it's the tropes i'm a sucker for, or the main character whose unconventionality i enjoyed, or the art, or the way the romance developed gradually, or the humor--idk, i just love this one

another fantasy bl! our mc is tasked to save the world and wakes up in a world where he's engaged to the grand duke. i have nothing to say but THEYRE SO CUTE??? it should be illegal for characters to be this damn lovable... their dynamic is so sweet, lives up to the name so well. idc much about stuff like this but their size difference is also so damn cute. with the plot picking up, this is a must read for bl fantasy lovers!! peak romance!!

an up-and-coming actor gets to work with his celebrity crush, except the story is not about that at all and instead is rich in mystery, romance, and humour with a side of beautiful visuals and well-written characters. a realistic outlook on a codependent relationship and love vs obsession. all the good tropes (whipped seme, competent uke, pining, showbiz), and all the good development ties this series into one of my favorites.

a chance encounter with the ml leads to the mc being a ghost magnet. this story is so good, i love the main characters so much. their development was so satisfying and their resulting dynamic by the end was so sweet and u could genuinely tell how much they loved each other. the worldbuilding is fantastic. to the people who enjoy plot-heavy stories w/ tragic backstories, beautiful art, a unique cast, and fresh takes on common concepts: this is for u!

finally adding to my list. highschool romance that starts because of the mc's brother's hospitalization. all the characters in this story are so fantastic. the way people are linked to each other, the way our mains grow close and come to love each other despite their start... so plainly lovely. and this story also has a side couple that i not only care about but want to see more of, which is so rare?? so well written <3
