mc put into a novel and she can gain points if she's in the spotlight. it's meta as fuck because she can see the readers' reaction to her from the POV of the ml. she acts like an innocent puppy-like girl who is loyal to ml, but she's cunning and plotting from the side. it's a bit sad too because this world is real to her and she has an orphanage family to protect. good chemistry with everyone but the ml. my 2nd ml syndrome is kicking in...

does not fit at all HOWEVER maybe it will start to because the second male lead believes that mc is suicidal and depressed, when in actuality mc is just trying to save his own ass from getting murked by ml. i’m holding out hope because there is so little of this trope
- dense funny fmc, horror comedy, confusing
mc thinks she got isekaied into a rofan novel, and because of that, all the horror elements are lost on her. this doesn't fit the trope we're looking for, but i think it's still a fun read to fill in a gap since it's hard to find.

If you havent read it already, “All My Alter Egos Are Tycoons” is also rlly good where mc creates a story line with alter egos in a diff world to make them / him more OP. I read the novel first before the manwha but tbh after the first world it gets a bit repetitive (its still a good read that u should try out tho :3)
hahaha already read this one. didn’t add it because i don’t think it fits since there isn’t a misunderstanding—those alter egos ARE that strong. it’s a fun read though

Technically Overlord, it’s really famous but it does fall into this trope. He’s OP but his actual personality is weak-minded and human-like.
There all these eleborate plans but he doesn’t really understand them but always manages to make everything work as if he planned them from the start.

I dunno if this is on here but i think "I Was Mistaken As a Monstrous Genius" also fits pretty well. It's a system kinda thing and what he's thinking is the complete opposite of how he looks/how people see him (づ￣ ³￣)づ

I think "Binbou Reijou no Kanchigai Seijo Den" would fit this list, everyone thinks the fl is a saint but most of her actions are out of self-interest (e.g. she gives the villagers healing medicine bc if they stay healthy, they can continue paying taxes)
you don’t have weak hero on here, right? i think gray is a good contender! he’s great at winning fights because he’s really crafty/intelligent, but physically super weak and delicate-looking so people (especially in the beginning, when he hadn’t built up a reputation yet) would doubt his capabilities and keep challenging him.
he 100% warrants his reputation of being ruthless and scary, but i really love the sheer disparity between that intimidating reputation vs. how small and effeminate he is <3
