The single best regret novel. I'm not going to spoil anything at all. Just know that ML goes trough ABSOLUTE HELL, worse than you can imagine, you wouldn't wish his fate on your enemies, that's how much he suffers and the cherry on top? MC watches it all from his throne while eating popcorn and says ''boo lame, suffer more'' while ML is throwing up blood. ML becomes a soulless husk of his former self and it hurts so good
ML uses MC as a substitute for the guy he loves, MC ''dies'' in an accident and ML acts all edgy and uninterested while he's losing it by the second. MC comes back as a ''lookalike'' and ML does the same thing that drove MC away, He starts using the new MC as a substitute for his ''dead lover''. MC does not care about ML's suffering at all. It great seeing ML taste his own medicine, aka the cold shoulder.

Does anyone know the name or link of one specific BL Substitute story I am trying to find. Essentially the uke is being treated as a substitute by the ML and is humiliated by the ML's peers. One time he even meets his biological parents and brother who do not recognize him as they though he died or went missing when he was a baby. His parents and brother immensely miss him and have no idea the same guy who is being humiliated and mistreated is their son.
I would appreciate your help as it's been a while and I don't think I saved it which I really regret. I know there is a novel, but so far I haven't been able to find it in any specific list. I am putting it on any list similar to the theme so I can find it. Thanks.
