This is one of my first manhwas in this genre, and I really really liked it in the beginning and had the biggest crush on FL. But season 2 sucks!! The art change is horrible and after the art changed I realized the story lacks more substance than I had first thought. Really, the characters are bland, plain, boring. Chemistry is almost non-existent. Revenge is mildly satisfying. I realized that maybe all this story had was its art.
The art is cool (a little too much though) but their age difference is weird. First of all the obvious: she’s 10, he’s 14. Why would a 14 year old be attracted to a 10 year old?? That’s weird! And after the time skip she’s 14 and he’s 18…. which is actually disgusting. But then also, she has the mind of a 20 year old… so why would she be attracted by a 14 year old?? I don’t know who’s the weirder one, but it all just feels so wrong.
This is the textbook definition of grooming??? She's 400 years old and he's 14 years old when they meet. And then how she calls it "taming", like he's an animal or something? But he's also a psycho, even though that's kind of her fault. Both of them are bad and toxic in their own ways, I guess. (But I would argue that she's the worst). Goals<3 Also the plot is getting boring, and I couldn't care less whether they end up together or not.
So far it's kind of basic. The premise of the plot is interesting, but I think it falls kind of flat when actually put into practice. I don't know where the problem lies, but I'm definitely disappointed since it seemed like it would be so good. Also, I really hope the black haired kid isn't supposed to be the ML? That would just be wrong on so many levels. Might try again later, but it's not looking good.
Nothing about this story is compelling to me: it's mediocre at best. The art, the pacing, the plot, the characters. It all falls flat and just becomes boring. I get the feeling that this manhwa is trying way too hard to seem smart and complicated, in the end just making it soulless and forgettable.
Boring, forgettable, BLAND. It's not even smut but the plot is basically just sex?? Like, what's the point? Who is this manhwa intended for? All they do is have sex in censored ways. Like they almost do nothing else. This story has no substance, no chemistry, no point. It's the Colleen Hoover of Manhwa.
