oh, shuri. one of my fav protags of the genre: kind, devoted, with an iron will to do right by her step-kids. some heavy themes of child abuse and pseudo-incest. while this is typical for the rofan genre, this comic excels at making the reader uncomfortable with these topics instead of using them as shock value or a romantic fantasy. after everything is said and done, there’s real tragedy underlying shuri’s strength. love her. 8/10

hilda gets transported into a horror game, where works as a maid for a noble family. what could she possibly do to prevent deaths when she’s the only one who knows that the esteemed son of the family is secretly a murderer and a devil? this comic is so unserious and it is a masterclass in tonal shifts. hilda gets into endless shenanigans because of her strong desire to live and her extreme shamelessness. if i were her i would have just died LOL. 7/10
