no but this is actually so good. like i love how there's a consistent theme of good, evil, and all that in between, especially in terms of social class and job choices (prostitution, etc). MC is just another dude living in a world that deals with shit, like everyone else is, but he still has very human and very typically human-aligning responses.

honestly, MC is legit a good dude. like he's not overly righteous or a stickler for morals, he just does good things bc he feels good things u know. but it doesn't impede on his rationale, so he's like not acting like he has an underdeveloped frontal lobe that should be lobotomized with the nearest wire bound spiral of a notebook.

idk how to say this but somehow as you continue reading this, you slowly realize you know very little about MC's motivations and thoughts. you slowly start to learn more about him as a person as you read on, and you find yourself REALLY drawn to him as a real person. like you are meant to have the most insight into the main character you follow, only to shockingly realize you don't know what he's thinking. it suits his guarded nature and carefree front.
