5/10 While the art and ML in this story are gorgeous, I fin it incredibly frustrating. The story itself isn't that lacking, or problematic. But the world feels quite empty, and the amount of time spent inside the FLs head gets old...Because she ruminates about the same damn thing over and over! The "I'm not from this world so I can't fall in love with him' trope is soooo old!!! She just continues to string the ML along while having no plan to stay with him.
5/10 A story that didn't need any romance, (and didn't originally have any..) The frustration I felt reading this was unmatched. And the ML feels like a crown-funded pick, not what I was rooting for. And while I don't typically have second-lead syndrome, I'm honestly failing to see why he was the pick...? The other sacrificed everything for her and stood by her all that time working with what resources he had. His only failing is literally not having magic like the other guy
5/10 This story is unique, and features a strong FL lead in ancient Korea actually shaking up the politics of that world. So pray tell, how does an epilogue eff that up so badly? The ML goes from feminist to misogynist, the kid is on the back burner, and her personality feels like it changed overnight? I deducted 3 whole points for that! I dropped this so fast you didn't even see it fall.
5/10 This story mixes too many elements, I can't tell what time period it's set in, and the MC is a bit too whiney for my taste. I enjoyed it for a while, but I feel like there's so much that could be done with this story's concept that didn't for it to be rated any higher.
5/10 It has a cool premise, but the full story just isn't a direction I wanted it to go. Feels a bit too complex, while being equally confusing and the romance being absent from the original novel for the most part makes some of the romance in here feel a bit forced or lackluster.
5/10 If I had a nickel for every unhinged rant I went on about this story to my husband I'd have enough money to hire someone to write a better story.. This one starts off with incredible potential, then essentially wraps up the most interesting plot point quickly to spend the duration of the story in a bubble with nothing but back-and-forth lover squabble. Ending is a major cop-out, and doesn't really stray too far outside the typical goddess tropes of this genre.
5/10 Season two really lost me... What started off as a pretty straight-forward concept randomly throws in magic and other elements out of seemingly nowhere in Season 2. ML is the pathetic-but-pretty-guy trope, so I'll be skipping out on the rest of the story.
5/10 The gorgeous art feels wasted on this story. The story really doesn't go far, cycling through the same tropes and building up to something major that still hadn't happened by Season...3? The FL is a little too cold and calculated to the point she becomes annoying, especially because being someone who was used- she falls right into using people who are her allies. Also this story feels like it's occurring in a vacuum due to how little we see anything in the outside world.
