This is complicated, but she kicks ass from start to finish and gets all three of her men. First she's a transfer, so she works with that, fighting for survival and against corruption one step at a time until she learns it's all the times.... Hmm, just gonna have to read it.
Another chance, this time, she's going to survive. So she hopes. She does have weak moments, but she has been abused by those who were supposed to be her family. He is desperate to save her, as many times as it takes. This is involved, and leads the characters on a journey through time, hope and revenge.
So she's rather free spirited, which does get her in trouble, but doesn't always require rescuing, as she's perfectly capable of taking care of herself. She tries, to no avail, to ward off the affections of a prince five years younger than herself, and they fight a couple of nut jobs for the crown, but they get there in the end. No super powers, just regular girl living life, he's the magic man fighting to become emperor.
She is resolute, despite her ups and downs dealing with her dual characteristics and bubbling optimism. It's cute, with enough intrigue and character growth; it's a little predictable, but what story isn't at this point? She does have a few wavering moments, but she ploughs through and faces them as best she can. As stated above, it's cute.
Rolling with what life/death throws at her, she learns about others, herself and what living can really be. There's a war on, both before and after for her, but it's in this new world that she discovers there's more to life than just death. It's a decent tale with just enough action and angst. Yes, there's predictability, but, please, there's not really anything brand spanking new in fiction, as it's all limited to what the reader knows and wants.
Now, of course, it takes a near death experience (i.e. cerebral recalibration) for her to awaken her memories and see her current life for what it is, dangerous, and then take the necessary steps to make it less so, with a little help from the friends she makes along the way. She crashes through her trials, reworks her tribulations, and changes the lives of everyone by the end of it. It's not bad, though some is missing, it's not hard to fill in the blanks.
She lived life like the abandoned mouse she felt she was, but when the evil nut job sliced her in twain, she held a surge of regret so powerful, a force she didn't know sent her back in time to the day of her wedding. This time, she wasn't going down without a fight. Husband and wife are new at the romance game, so are awkward for a while, they defeat their own demons and the nut job for happy-ever-after.
She's a bit thick when it comes to relationships, everyone gets it but her, though she's quick as whip otherwise. She does try to manipulate the setting for her own gain, but it doesn't necessarily go her way, as Princey-Poo's so blatantly obvious. She does catch up eventually, but it takes a loong while and no one but her family is who they seem to be. It's a decent read.
Okay, so yea, the getting to the love part is a bit washy, but that doesn't mean she isn't resolute. They battle endless paperwork, tight schedules, a maniacal step-mother, the previous' corrupt cronies, and a batshit crazy transmigrator/regressor who used to be empress. Wow. It's predictable, barely any down time between traumas/dramas, but it's cute overall.
