+ the gay lovers being the villains was a …. choice. feel conflicted abt this one bc they actually had a somewhat interesting and toxic relationship but i still feel like it lacked nuance
+ once revenge fantasy was completed, the story lost it’s steam lol

+ main chara literally runs away and everyones like omggg where is she… a common childhood fantasy fulfilled
+ interesting theme of family ties vs blood ties being explored

+ pacing got weird once the mage guy got involved
+ boring ml but ig that’s expected in a family-centric oi

+ i love horror so combining it with oi is like a dream
+ main chara is so funny lol she’s treated so horribly by the game system that she’s in
+ a lot of tension!

+ honestly this has the potential for a higher rating, it’s just short so far since it’s so new

+ interesting start; an unwanted daughter gets sent to marry a traitorous duke
+ the first arc is them learning to cohabitate, which i am a sucker for

cons:
+ familial abuse was really over the top, like woah
+ family confrontation nonexistent so the climax of that conflict fell so flat
+ after the first arc concluded, story lost all steam and basically became a slice of life except without the charm of having to survive alone together. boo

+ main chara design slays like the black hime cut??? cute
+ i like the burgeoning mother/daughter relationship developing

cons/
+ the melodrama makes it hard to take the political schemes seriously; like why does the emperor get emotional and angry at the main chara’s insolence? why is she so scared of main villain when he hasn’t really done anything of note to get in the way of her schemes? the entire plot revolves around politics and it falls a lil flat

+ family a little too doting perhaps lol like the father only has backstory that makes the daughter more endearing to him and the brother is basically just an accessory that exists only to love the mc… a bit boring
