FL and ML grew up on the island together since childhood. FL dreamed of becoming a knight, while ML had no desire to become one and simply wished to be by FL's side forever. However, when ML fell victim to the Fell Wyrm's curse and concealed it from FL, he journeyed to the Holy City in search of a cure.
After 3 years their paths crossed, FL discovered that ML was now perceived as a fugitive "monster." Evangeline now works to free Michael from the curse.
