no one talks abt this and i'll never know why. made me cry so many times, so heart wrenching oh my god. the overarching themes in the story are so like well implemented that it plays out so nicely. although there are a few things i wish were a little different (kinda wish mag held a stronger grudge...), it deals with guilt in a not-dismissive way unlike any other isekai i've read.

read this a while ago but i can't help but think this fits perfectly in this list. a heart-wrenching story which had me crying at times: amazing character arcs and all and all a loveable female cast! with like 2(?) FLs! no but seriously, such an amazing (but angsty) read. though i will say that i've stopped keeping up with the story (because i tend to not read super long stories), it's still an AMAZING read.

i won't lie, the entire cast is somewhat flat except for philomel. and i mean philomel is an amazingly written character. it's so sad to think of what she had to go through, and i love this take on isekai. she discovers a book detailing the rest of her life: but she is genuinely, actually, terrified because she knows her future is bleak. i love her development, i honestly stopped caring for other characters

read this a while ago but it's an amazing story. portrays trauma and healing in the way it should: slowburn, yet it doesn't drag on. i can't exactly recall the specifics of the story, and I do think that it's come to be a little longer than it should, but it was a story that had me in tears often.

AMAZING. I loved this so, so much. We haven't even been introduced to the male(?) lead but ALL of the characters are amazing. If you loved Surviving Romance, this is such a similar vibe. the MC is EVERYTHINGGG. friendship angst emotions development all of it and done so so well.
Art: 9/10 it 100% gets better and gains character
Plot: 9/10 ONLY because it drags

Despite being so, SO long, Inso's law is fresh and well-fleshed out in ways I don't commonly see. The overarching themes. Dan-i's realistic fears. And the way she learns to overcome them, too, becomes a tale about a girl and her friendships, and the sacrifices she learns to make. every character is unique and well-written, but Dan-i really is an example of great characterization

deals with the fact he's replaced another person's body in a way i've never seen before. you really do end up feeling for the MC, his struggles, his hopes, and his change feels earned and present in the way he interacts with others and himself. this is shounen ai, but it didn't make it to my yaoi list simply because the romance is messy. but i still think it's more than deserving of a spot here because the MC is distinct, dynamic and relatable(but strong!).

a classic for a reason. i have never, ever seen a cast of characters so well-written, deep, and dimensional in this genre. from the moment it ditched the 'ignorant father loves his daughter after being reborn' getup we see not only anastatia, but jennete, her father, claude, lucas as real people each with their own explainable stories and emotions that feel earned through impeccable storytelling. you WILL get shivers.

slow burn, but i cant help but feel that its required for a story this complex. johaness is my favorite part of this all: shuli is realistic in her maternal tendencies because she saw him as her saviour. in doing so, the story is able to get away with being all fluff but not filler, where her relationship with the children is crucial to the story rather than a plot point as most "step-mother" stories do. romance takes a much deserved backseat!

a cute read that tries to be angsty when it doesn't need it. i don't doubt itll end up being cliche, but at least it's done that well. sister brother duo is actually interesting due to the premise! i just hope it wont fall into 'all-powerful FL who bulldozes through every hurdle' and it'll be more realistic.
