good plot; weak execution; stiff art
i remember reading it (back in 2016?) and being disappointed with the plot. i’ll give it another read and see if i’ll change my mind
read it again: maybe it’s because i’m older now, but i can understand the story better. it wasn’t as bad as my initial read. some things could have been done better, but overall, it was a good story from an amateur author. has reread value. though the same plot points and dialogues are used in ‘Mad Dog.’
good story for an author’s debut work, but author doesn’t have a strong understanding of their own characters (sometimes OOC) and the incorporation of aboriginal culture could be done in a less problematic way. ending was nice though.
