The books in this list, all have some dark aspects to them; be it a character having gone through some trauma in the past or the present, a character suffering from inner turmoil due to a predicament they are in/their circumstances due to what they are and feel like, or just that something dark, upsetting or messed up happens, but not to the extent that it can be considered a tragedy.
*The list includes both smut and non-smut. I will not be adding books with unhappy endings to this list.

Child abuse (severe), human sacrifice (all children/minors under the age of "maturity"), murder of children for generations (all of whom were the younger sibling, born for the sole purpose of being sacrificed "for the oldest sibling"), discrimination, neglect, dehumanization (for example: Leslie's "sister" calls her 'that THING' on multiple occasions all her life, as well as being called 'useless thing' many times), and more (I haven't finished reading the webtoon; I will update this).
