I have second ML syndrome for this ngl, but one reader made a point about the second ML seeming rude from the FL's perspective while the ML helps her despite his twistedness. The cliche of the ML being interested in the FL's eccentricity is there but I like how the FL slowly learns more about ML and the ML develops more feelings that humanise him.
ML doesn't instantly trust FL after her reincarnation and tests her several times which I find realistic. Easy come easy go. Trust is most believable when it takes not just one event to happen.
