This is mostly psychologically based in the first chapters I have read. It goes to show the struggles of someone when love came in a form of greed. A mother who was greedy for fame and talent, a father who was obsessed with the mother and didn't care for his child, friends who only came to her to get something. Even now in her life, there is no father presence and her health is poor, which means it's time limited. Now in her time limited life, she is learning the true essence of love.
