cute, loved the lion guild, and i listened to red velvet russian roulette thru the whole thing but the pacing was WILD… the ending was so rushed.
zelline meredith (fl) is the 8th princess of the nation roymond where she spent the her life trying not to be killed in the fight for the throne. when the king and queen commit su*cide after being driven to a corner by grenoir, all eleven royal siblings escaped. faction supporting the queen and royal descendants are roheniem and lopecce. faction supporting king is the roumonx. zelline was kidnapped by the enemy and woke up as a messenger falcon and battled with commander in chief valhayle.
edith is an absolute tank for getting through the rigelhof vs rudwick conflict! killeon (ml) still hasn’t groveled enough but oh well.
kayena (fl) is the princess of the empire with her siscon-ass brother regef, the crown prince. in the novel, she was obsessed with rapphaelo (ml) but chose to focus on escaping from her brothers hands (death lol) which somehow leads him to fall for her. she is rly badass tbh and the art is most gorgeous :’)
kalia (fl) is the commander in chief of the army who gets preggo with her best friend simon’s (ml) child and decides to run away. simon is bonkers for her and a powerful mage so he goes crazy. we find out that kaila’s birth mom was a fairy princess and was killed by an evil doctor named lyric who makes chimeras. baby’s named shasha and is supposed to be a boy? there’s also a dragon egg…
not usually a fan of enemies to lovers but this is one of my favs ever. from the emotional development of each character the way the art style gradually shows them getting older?? laliette is such an admirable FL for her introspection and watching her struggle through situations where the odds are stacked against her rly built her character. rupert x laliette foreverrr <3
