The story is either about animals, has animals in it, or the main characters have pets. The animals in question don't have to be real animals--they could be monsters, as long as the monster is like an animal/pet (like Vasser's Little Monster in "As You Wish, Prince" or Jaina's pet monsters in "Lock Me Up, Duke!").
