MC has a reoccurring nightmare, showing the world overtaken by a zombie apocalypse. He was designated as the world’s savior — given a quest to wipe out the zombies — and underwent 99 ‘resets’ of the dream, slowly improving and surviving longer each run, but was never successful. One day, his dream becomes a reality, and with it a new ability: inheriting the skills of experts.

MC returns to Earth after 20 years in another world, only to find out that 5 years have passed. In his absence, Earth has changed — dungeons, monsters and awakeners now exist. As time passes, the more difficult the dungeons and monsters become. To protect Earth, MC must regain his former strength, grow even stronger, and perhaps uncover the truth behind the dungeons’ appearance while he’s at it.

MC was once the world’s number one SSS-rank hunter. He got ambushed and killed, returning to 10 years ago. Instead of retaining his hunter abilities, he was reassigned as a ‘Dungeon Cleaner’. In order to return to the time before his death — and regain his hunter status — he has to utilize his newfound cleaning abilities to slowly unlock his former skills and reach the highest position in the International Association within 5 years.
