I like how it doesn’t really segue to romance immediately, we get some bits and pieces about it. Tho I’m happy it focuses on the development of the FL and ML is so cute!

You always see these kinds of plots with father-daughter duos, so it’s honestly refreshing to see a mother-daughter dynamic instead especially one where both are learning how to be a family. It’s not just heartwarming, but also meaningful. Watching the “Black Monster” go from feared swordsman to a protective, healing presence is so satisfying. The way the comrades rally around their captain, too? So good. It’s about redemption, found family, and second chances.

So refreshing to read a BL in a hunterverse that isn’t just smut every other panel. I love a good spicy scene, but when it overshadows the plot? Kinda kills the vibe. This one’s got actual world-building, mystery, and a slow-burn setup that’s really working for me so far.

Not gonna lie, I usually don’t vibe with strategy-heavy stories, but this one really pulled me in—the way the tactics are explained actually made it fun. That said (don’t hate me), I’m not totally sold on the romance shift just yet I get that it ties into the lore, but for now, I’m letting it marinate. Still, the whole “stuck in an unbeatable game” setup? So good.
