A story about an unlucky boy who becomes a very sick man.
He called his name, like a prayer. A one-shot about Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito, and the burden of his name.
Tobi hasn't seen the light of sun since a long time, the day he finally decides to go away he is trapped and caged away from all opportunity to escape.
“It was your dream to become a Hokage, wasn’t it?”
And now, Kakashi is living your dream.
“Is this all Jeans dream, a night mare he created or is it reality. Jean? What do you think? The man you love is hanging right in front of you, aren’t you happy to see him again? Aren’t you relieved that he isn’t dead?”
Obito is Tobi now, he doesn't remember anything about his childhood or how he lose half of his body, Deidara and Akatsuki is everything he has now, till one day he confrontates Kakashi who's convinced that Obito would come back to him due to a promise they made as kids.
‘Hey... Have you ever really wondered what would’ve happened if I hadn’t died?’
‘Yes.’
Obito grinned, tearing grass from the ground and sprinkling it through the air. ‘Good.’
Kakashi sighed, slumping against a tree for support, immediately regretting it as he coughed up blood.
He looked up at Obito and smiled comfortingly. He reached up and wiped the tears off Obito’s face. Obito blushed and hid his face in Kakashi’s shoulder. Kakashi ran a hand through Obito’s raven-black hair and sighed contently.
There's something weird about Bertholdt, and Reiner knows there's something he isn't telling him, so finally he asks him about it.
"Thank you."
Reiner's eyes burned. "But what?"
"For everything. If it hadn't been for you I might never have even found the courage ... Thanks. Thank you, really, from the heart."
"Do not thank me."
