For the debutante ball, they going off that MC was much more beautiful than usual but instead, not only did NOTHING about her face change, MC literally looked worse than usual. Idk if it was the hairstyle or dress design or what, but sis was looking like a whole grandma. No hate to the artist, but omfp, I can't breatheeee. MC also wild stupid. Meanwhile, Caroline's hot, interesting, smart and won't try to change who you are. Js, ML.

Read some corset defenders comments and Irdt it was a bad as what they were saying. I'm pretty sure the pt. the author was trying to make was about body dysmorphia. Corsets propagate the mindset that the body should look a certain unattainable way to look sexy. There are long-term physical effects as well w/ how tightly they used to wear it, like deformation/organ compression, which is unhealthy. The prob is when they want to look like that naturally and starve themselves/become depressed.

Truly left an unsettling bitter taste in my mouth after she saw people of dark skin tones for the first time. Tbh, I couldn't believe what I was reading. I couldn't read anything past that practically preposterous convo. 'Other than their appearance, they're just like us.' Did I seriously read that right? Other than normal people, what ELSE can they POSSIBLY be??? Truly a jarring scene to witness and I don't want to be open-minded of their ignorance. I'm out.

The Duke is trash. Omfp, he should follow his wife to the afterlife if he cares about her sm that he forgets to love his son. He doesn't care for ML at all; he only superficially pretends to be a good father and he clearly lacks empathy/understanding of his own son/human emotion in general. His apathy to his own son's suffering/PTSD, and his unwillingness to communicate and take the time to be affectionate/even just be kind to his son, is appallingly disgusting. So selfish and power-hungry.
