While an island half-disappearing from the face of the earth, a mysterious organization is sending out invitations for a tournament to every skilled fighter in the world. If you win you can have ANYTHING you want. They're recruiting only the best to fight the best and claim the title of The God of High School!
so the mc is obese and this causes health issues for him. he is also from a rich family and is encouraged to play in VR to help with weight loss...i like how this is about food, but honestly i don't really understand how VR helps him...and also his luck is too good to be true...this is a healing narrative but not something that has made me binge read.
He was an addict, a loser, a despicable human being. But, one fleeting dream that may not have been a dream at all reawakens his once-lost senses. Possessing a unique ability, he would use that, and the dream, to forge his path in the world now known as the Lost Paradise.
mc plays a game where he gets a role as a descendan of thananos -- this leads to perks when his game character falls asleep lol
mc has a really weak body but studies cultivation with a painting left by a famous celestial being, and grows to be stronger! really nice twist on the korean martial arts idea.
honestly i think mc appears to be strong-willed and basically desperate (for good reason), but i feel like the author tries to push him too much into this mold of being special...other than that it's been good, but sometimes i had to stop reading it. so even though it's really not that bad, it didn't hook me for as long as other works.
