Spoiler: She has to deal with being a villainess AND another tower with levels. I like that the love story is basically two emotionally dead people catching feelings for each other.

Let's just say "Stallion Duke" title is FAR more appropriate, it's the first husband that's desperate and depressed.

Calling him tamed is definitely a stretch. He’s certainly not docile and the intense desire for revenge goes against claims of loyalty. That stockholm syndrome is what stays his hand until FL can actually “tame” him.

FL had stick-to-the-plot-itis, so it’s fortunate the other characters routinely go against expectations.

As it says on the can. Honestly the pacing is slow and the main character is actually rather miserable and unlikeable, especially due to the half-assed way she goes about things and detachment with which she treats everything in this world she’s now a part of.

Girl I get that you love your brother but putting him on that throne is a terrible idea, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to be on it anyway. A throne, btw, that was won by some loser after executing hundreds of innocent witches and breaking his lover’s heart, but let’s just not address that with any grace. Or at all, actually, because we can’t have sympathy for the villainess we just made sympathetic. I’m tired. ML is pretty but that’s it.
