Ok o remember reading this comment by @afroluv on this site in this comment section. For those of you who are confused why he’s acting like this I think this user explains it quite well:
“ When your unrequited love doesn't see YOU, just the outer shell...while you love them so much. Yet you also see they are in love with someone else too, so you can't confess out of respect. This guy helped his unreq love shop for a gift for their special person and it broke his heart..Ff to the present and you learn that the lover of your crush wasn't even into your crush like that. Oh and you just lost your virginity with him as well. Now there is a WTF moment...You're pissed at him for not loving your crush the way you would've. And then you think, maybe if this guy isn't capable of feeling strongly for your crush, who you still regard highly, maybe he won't feel strongly for you either? You get so confused between your feelings from past and present that you run away emotionally and physically avoid this guy without even telling him why.”
