Kagome and even Bella Swan from that Twilight crap had entire lives, families and friends ...

Kagome and even Bella Swan from that Twilight crap had entire lives, families and friends described in detail, family and friend scenes and extra suitors and love rivals before they chose to stay with their "immortal" love interests. In comparison, I don't think we were even allowed to know the name of that older brother Rin supposedly had before he and their parents were killed by bandits. If she had any friends back then, or if she absolutely had nor uncles nor even a single cousin left... friends of her own age when she first went to live in Kaede's village... Did she ever think again of the bandits that killed her family? Where is her family buried? Who did she learn to catch pish from, or did she only teach herself? All those details of Rin's lifewere skimmed over as if the only meaninful thing about her life was her relationship with Sesshoumaru, that she only exist to eventually grow up and marry him (after "changing" him, of course). No other love interests, no scenes of her life before losing her parents. And given she was introduced as a child and kept as this rather underdeveloped character till she chose to marry him, the omissions are glaring. The author should have just introduced her already as a teenager, if her character was going to be developed only through her role as Sesshoumaru's significant other.

that's because it was never intended by the author that they would end up a couple...she never even had plans to write more about inuyasha. this all came from sunrise
