Did we read the same story? This guy obviously is arrogant and gets everything he wants. He only said he we going to give his wish to her becaue he knew she'd loose. He's also aparently smart so wtf wouldn't he know about spirits. Sorry if I sound rude but don't make excuses for characters like his. He knew what he did. meant what he did. and would do it again.
They can try to redeem him but ill still hate him and im glad knowing Jennie will too.

The rude one was the little brother, if you go back over the interactions he wasn't rude but curious. of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions though I was just voicing it, but if even kings and emperors have no clue about spirit stuff there's no way a 16 year old kid who dedicates himself to the sword would!

Not to be rude or anything but if it weren't for Undine, Geenie could've been killed by that bastard. She cough up blood and he wasn't even a tiny bit worried about her. You called that caring?

After the time skip he (and his brother) didn't even recognize Geenie and ask her if she wants to have sex with him, cuz apparently that was the reason why the ladies approach him. What a fucking prick.
But for me his character actually seems pretty caring? He isn't arrogant, he just was excited to meet someone on par with him and challenged them to a fight. Plus, he was using his wish to make hers come true. And, he seemed genuinely worried at the end of the fight because he realised he got carried away. Lets also not forget that hardly any of their population knows anything about spirits, how was he to know he could kill/seriously injure spirits? etcetc. I can see him becoming a friend/love interest in the future to challenge ash.
