I read that spoiler too after commenting. I dont have experience with good guys turn bad but yaoi also has those moments that made me feel sorry for ukes so I guess my “experience” of good guys are from there. Its really sad that nice guys makes up sus of them
it is so hard to find stories that are plausible...like within itself....often yaoi still are like those old ones that actually make like zero sense but only are meant to see someone that is in the "feminine" position suffer under their "destined partner" and then when they almost break the partner suddenly acts all soft when he already broke you and has you and does not completely wants to make you lose your sanity and then you fall for their small sweetness and tadah amazing shalala relationship people see as if it is some kinda leyla and mecnu story of eternal true unconditional love or what even though it is just toxic crap people put up with cause "he is handsom" and "the sex was hot"....urgh....anyway....i am happy cause so many (often underrated) authors come up with stories that make sense and are plausible, where the characters act and talk and behave and feel in ways that makes sense and make decisions that make sense....even if fucked up (like killing stalking or warehouse)....anyway...that is as you said, another reason why this seme seems sus...cause men in reality often are sus when they are to nice and so are men in yaoi, shounen ai and shoujo and josei and any other shit....
if it turns out, he is actually genuinly an amazing guy, that just goes with his feelings responsibly and all...and we all were wrong with our thoughts that he is sus....it will be a very very sad moment...you know why? it means that men who are just really genuinly nice and honest without any twisted shit that comes out once you start going on dates and they have "expectations" or whatever kind of bad shit we all experienced.....made us feel....that men can never truly be like this, if there is not some weird shit they are hiding under that nice smile....god...the bar is really really low....i would be super panicky if i was the uke as well, cause this guy is "too clean"...i would think he is acting and could never really just like me and just go genuinly with his feelings as well as his genuine consideration for me....ah dunno....men scare many of us women and many gay men as well....gosh...i feel werid right now, cause a spoiler did say he was really like this the whole time, a really nice cool guy who just liked him :(
