Tbh the demon kings reward seems more beneficial but it also sucks bc it selects someone at random if there are more than 1 who wanted that reward. Plus if the mc selects that, the next person will know bc the positions will remain the same for the goddess of protection so its very risky. PLUS, can he even kill all of them?
