Yes I read the manga,my greatest and deepest apologies for having an opinion but If you looked at it from my perspective if our fl wasn’t here then our ml would’ve fallen in love with the princess then the prince would have fallen in love with the too princess isn’t that kinda fucked? No wonder our fl was confused that the prince wasn’t in love with the princess from the get go or at least falling in love. You could say he fell in love with our fl but let’s be real he has a fetish for woman who rejects him because they like or are interested in other men who love them. he finds them interesting and “not like other girl” in the original story he probably thought the same for the princess. Also why is her obsession the only thing that’s exaggerated if we compared her to a wife with a cheating husband that would probably be the same mindset we're just hating her cuz we’re biased and nitpicking ever little thing about her yes she sucks I’ll say that but isn’t how she’s living rn sad how she’s so dependent on one person how her self confidence is also sucky she’s basically bullied by everyone and the prince was the only one who’d even try to help her out might end up leaving her for a person with a fiancée no wonder she’s “obsessed” and dependent on the prince. since you said she has an obsession on the prince isn’t that the same thing with our ml he is also obsessed with our fl but that’s not exaggerated I but in actuality didn’t the ml go almost insane when he found out the go left the dukes residence he is also obsessive and possessive over the fl.
I’m not talking about this manga in specific too most manga have this trope of having this one crazy bitch who the ml liked before but since the ml is interested in the fl he stops pursuing her and she becomes the villain of the story.
Y’all let’s be real it’s not princess fault if you really think about it. Ever since she was young she relied and had feelings for the prince and they even got engaged everything was fine until the prince started to like ibelin he is basically treating her more and more coldly for her it was probably a huge shock knowing that the man ur engaged to(even tho it wasn’t for love) and the man you love just suddenly spends time with a woman who was the most accepting towards you and the only woman who actually treated her like a princess she was probably really confused and hurt on the other hand Diego that fucking son of a bitch and the king is the ones I hate the most they just act how they want not considering other peoples feelings. If the princess hurts ibelin in the future not blaming the prince but I’d say he did throw oil into the fire.
