BUT them going for counseling made me so happy! Like yes, maturity and adults that actually act like adults in a harlequin!
Some people ARE just weak. But at least the FL had proposed marriage counseling before leaving, and immediately returned to tell him of the pregnancy when she found out, and was only gone for 10 days and then didn't fall into bed with him immediately upon returning and without the aforementioned marriage counseling. All in all a LOT better than the majority of "weak" FLs in Harlequin stories.
The FL was weak (like girl fight for your guy if someone is testing your marriage). Normally I wouldn’t recommmend fighting for ANYONE but the ML seemed sensible and loyal and Karmela was asking to get slapped.
And Fraco....you poor thing. She wasn’t worth it. Karmela was a liar, manipulative, and downright the worst. She doesn’t get to be easily forgiven because she was pregnant. Ugh.
