Okay, so there's no way I'm reading this one based on the comments (thanks by the way; I don't need to read another awful story like this!). But, I did still had to make a comment here because I'm concerned about how many people seem to hate the FL.

First of all, does no one here understand about Stockholm Syndrome? I just Googled it to make sure I posted the correct definition, so here you go: "Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response. It occurs when hostages or abuse victims bond with their captors or abusers. This psychological connection develops over the course of the days, weeks, months, or even years of captivity or abuse." (www.healthline.com) Just like any form of rape, it is never the victim's fault, so please stop blaming victims for being "weak" and don't call them "pathetic" either - that is extremely offensive to real-life victims of abuse, and also contributes to the culture wherein abuse victims don't get help for themselves or report their abusers.

On that note, do people on this site seriously not realize how often abuse victims stay with their abusers? I'm not just talking about with "romantic" relationships either. Children tend to not tell on their parents because they don't want to be separated from them. I've even seen comments in the "People are sharing things" section that are like "Yes, you are being abused, no your family does not have the right to say or do those things to you, and yes you should absolutely report them" - but that doesn't mean they actually will. Just the fact that they're asking absolute strangers on a site like this is really telling. Many times people don't seem to have someone they feel they can trust to ask for help. And oftentimes, when a victim tries to leave is also one of the most dangerous times for them as well - especially if they don't have someone to help them. And a lot of times IRL relationships wherein the victim refuses to report, or has a history of choosing to be with abusers, they have also been abused as a child and so that is something they have essentially been trained to be used to. Have you ever heard of the phrase "The devil you know?" There have even been studies that show people would rather face the same hardships they have in the past than new ones if given the choice. That's why you hear about things like "breaking the cycle of abuse," because if they don't get some serious help, then the children will grow up to become abusers and/or victims themselves.

So yeah, my point is that people who hate on victims of abuse are just plain disgusting themselves. Even if you have some personal experience with being abused, everyone handles trauma differently. And I'm sure people handle brainwashing differently as well. So seriously, please kindly refrain from your dumbass comments when you obviously don't know what you're talking about. You are just causing more harm than good.

Thank you again for non-recommending this manga. Peace out.
