Loli i think nature and nurture is effective in a persons character sexuality etc. In the first world or life or the story whatever you call, all he got was the abuse from his father he wanted a man's love so he sought love from men.
But when the sister who knows the other worldly informations(the ending, affects of abuse on a person etc.), tried to correct things and showed love towards ml, (the ml got the love which is a necessity for every person even though you dont immediately die without it).
I dont believe sexuality comes just from just genetics. Actually its more of an upbringing/psychological thing(like %99.99), its my opinion (seems like the writer is thinking like me too), but of course different people might have different opinions about the subject because of the external influences we grow up with just like our ml ╮(￣▽￣)╭
