apparently cale as kim rok soo, had lost everyone, and literally everytime he deemed them precious in his past life and only he survived amongst his group of people he claimed to be a new family. even when his former team died they (talked thru the help of god of death) also said that they didnt die in his place just so he wouldnt blame himself bc they knew how cale would despair over it and the fact that cale's brain has the capability to not even forget things those memories would replay in his mind a lot. and when the sealed god gave him a test, he was in a parallel world where he was 20 again and when he met all the people that were gonna die he was so emotional and close to tears, used his very all to the limit to save them so nobody dies this time while his body crumbles. as stoic and cold as he is, he's still weak to the people he cherished. theres a lot more reasons i cried for cale but its best that you read the novel to find out. ╥﹏╥
