i dont think he was scum until he became king, the power went to his head. Thats why the prirst prince's mother was the Queens daughter whom i think died and he remaried the biach that gave birth to the second prince. With the wife dead the king pretymuch had the throne.

Actually the Queen dowager want Amelia's mother to be her daughter in-law, but she refuse and married the duke, then the king choose to marry her beloved from the viscount (if i'm not remembering?) and the noble faction with the leader is the marquis of the family of the second queen now, tried to married the second queen to the king with their reasoning, cause the first queen is too low in social standing and status then of Marquis.

Curious how the queen dowager could raise such a disgusting man like the king? I mean she's not the typical cutie grandma, but she seems sane. Obviously even really good parents can get grazy kids, but usually there's some kind of reason. Was the former king a nutjob maybe?
