Ex heavily regrets neglecting MC and never realizing in the last TEN YEARS that people have been treating her with disrespect. (What an asshole) He thought she was a beloved first daughter for some stupid reason. He gets delusional and tries to chase after her thinking she'll never fall for the new guy. (I hate him)
The new guy is the ML and he saves her from being bullied during a ball and takes her away to a private room where she proposes to him in the prologue. He's very polite and sweet to her and tells her to give him time to think through the proposal. (Background check to see if she's telling the truth. She did.) And soon accepts her proposal by doing it in a grand way so that no one can talk shit about MC. (I love the ML) He's also the one who falls in love first so he'll try to woo MC as best as he can lol
Also MC's little sister actually likes MC so far and I'm loving the sisterly love. MC's dad is an ass and stays an ass.

Yup! The dick of a dad told her sister to not be around MC but she likes how MC treats her nicely cause MC's mom is a huge bitch and treats the sister and MC like shit. MC even tells her sister to go to the dad for help if MC's mom acts up because he loves the sister a lot and will do anything for her.
