I think he did. He thought a few times but remembered his parents divorcing so he (i guess in a way) convinced himself to see Ga young as only a friend and nothing more.

I cried so hard for Gayoung when she had to make way for that bitch Yoojin. Cause like I relate and it hurts so much when a guy you like and your friend is suddenly "some". Especially since you really won't be able to avoid them because they are your friends. Like they can flirt in front of you or tell stories of each other and you are just forced to act like you support them even though it already hurts so much.
