This is a remake. Also this one is a more tone down version compared to the first and its art is much cleaner/smoother than the previous. You could say its the Disney version remake.
Altho the previous was not smooth art-wise, i prefer the way it told the story plus it didnt cut the stab stab slash slash part including the one where the mc nearly got bang by the monke.

(maybe not but)
I feel like some part of the story were cut and it's too similar to the one I saw earlier,(different manga but similar plot and characters)
Well, I wont complain but its nicely done and its okay,
