there's a reason the king hates rezef. it's bcs rezef is a child from the empress's affair with raphael's dad in the past. but bcs the king doesn't want to reveal the affair of the queen publicly, so he pretend and makes it like rezef is actually his son, so everyone doesn't know the truth that actually rezef isn't the son of the king. thats why the king doesn't support him for getting the throne. and bcs of this, the king killed the queen through her allergies, and its also reveal the reason why the king hates cayena. its bcs cayena is actually looks a like the queen that betray him.
i know this is crazy right but bear w this backstory

Ahh. This was the part in the novel where i was feeling sorry for Rezef and i rlly did want him to fawn over his sister so that he can rlly change. Unfortunately, ‘fawning’ turned into obsession and i really hated the way he did her sister so dirty just cause things didnt go his way. I really wanted to believe in him but he’s just a piece of shit who has extreme inferiority complex cuz he’s only a half royal with an extremely shitty parent of a father.
I’m just waitint for the romance part cuz the ML gave me so much butterflies
