agreeed, thats why i mainly dont read those kinda ones but i mean you might want to expect that since there is a yaoi tag you know? yaoi and shounen ai is well ... different. in yaoi the author needs to just draw smut as fast as possible and the plot is usually small kinda like hentai, on the other hand shounen ai is like a whole character development and stuff kinda plot and there is no smut usually like normal shoujo mangas. you cant say that hentai and shoujo are the same can you? yeah same with yaoi and shounen ai here.
We expect that because we are so used to the constant bad plots/ good but fast and unrealistic plots developments. Yk? Yes Yaoi and Shounen ai are very different. Probably why shounen ai is my favorite, it has very good plots while ones with more smut has okay plots and some great plots too but less than shounen ai.
I’m not talking about the tags. I just poured my thoughts on the NORMALIZING RAPE AND ASSAULT. Yes in Yaoi, smutty BL, you’d expect smut obviously and I’m there for it as well as the plot. But the thing is; PEOPLE NORMALIZE RAPE. RAPE IS DIFFERENT from SEX in a way yk? Rape is no consent and is a crime, people are accepting that? Would you want your loved one to be raped and accept that so easily? I definitely wouldn’t. I’m pointing out most or some how fujoshis, others normalize RAPE and assault like it’s nothing and then act like nothing happened, especially the author.
Hentai is obviously different and on another level, what I’m talking and pointing out is about Non consent and criminal things people normalize like it’s okay to do.

And what’s up with people obsessing over looks? Like yeah I don’t want a blueberry or banana colored teeth mans/woman either but cmon now. People obsess over looks than personality. I see people saying:

“I don’t mind him railing me.”
“He’s handsome tbh, I want him instead of the ML. He’s nice to MC too..”, you say he’s nice but he just came on the first chapter (not in this BL story; just a example), we don’t even know their full personality. They could be acting ffs.
You can obsess over looks, but wait till their worst personality comes out and starts being dramatic cause you didn’t pick up a small ripped piece of paper on the dog stool.
Is this a female author? Cause usually female authors make these types of BLs, weak mc and strong ML who always has to save his ass with magic, authors like these fetishizes these type of shit and normalizes assault/rape, etc.
No offense to females, I am just pointing out to these types of authors. They make it like rape almost didn’t happen, like assault didn’t happen. Suddenly MC and the rapist (molestor) are friends the next minute?
It was going okay and nice in the beginning but all these shit piling up and then it’s forgotten the next minute. MC is weak when it comes to magic, but he’s stupid to be friends with his nearly-rapist. There’s a difference between being weak physically and being stupid in the brain. Sometimes characters are so unreal, then sometimes they’re so unrealistically naive.
Shit I can find some good novels and comics with better character traits. Of course there are flaws too, it’s a normal thing.
It’s just that people are normalizing rape, assault, murder, yeah you guys know who I’m talking about, If you not the one normalizing these, don’t mind me. To those who does, go get some mental help.
Probably one of those: “I can change the mafia boss!”, “I want an obsessive Yandere after me”, etc. Once again, no offense unless you actually do this, I’m sorry. No need to read this if you dislike it.
On the good side there are amazing female authors, and this is probably why I prefer novels over comics most of the time because novels have more depth and strong personality traits.
I personally like these types of art but the plot always gotta be less than my favorite. There is great art with okay/bad plots, there is odd/bad art with good plots, what’s this sorcery?
