"Or are you saying there is a silent majority here?" yea definitely, look at how quickly y'all lash out when we say we like the scanlation. i've received dms and have even tagged on other manhwas by people talking about the shitshow y'all had going on this morning hating and spamming the shit out of this comment section, and saying how scary it is. i've been commenting/replying directly to the id*ots bc i am not mentally affected by it as in idgaf what you think of me, but it IS annoying to deal with immature hypocrite readers that don't let the rest of us enjoy the scans in peace. and frankly i'm sick of this because it happens EVERY time anyone tries to update this manhwa (this happened last year at least two times) - we've been waiting for months, some people even forgot this existed.
now that the spammers have calmed down more or less, one of them even got their account deleted because they were getting so abusive, people are starting to comment how it doesn't matter who uploads as long as the scans are understandable and how people should chill on a PIRATE, ILLEGAL website.

Why do you keep saying other readers who don't agree with you immature hypocrites? That is not a nice thing to say. And you say chill on an illegal website, but don't you think you are bit too heated yourself? Once, a long while ago, I saw a comment by a respected scanlator team trashing another sniper who translated with google translate & did basically a very crappy job. I wondered why they were so harsh. But I now understand, after comparing such translations against the good ones. Doing a poor job & misrepresented the story riddled with mistranslations is not doing the series justice to say the least. If it's an unlicensed series that no group wants to translate, then so be it, there's no choice there. But if it has an official translation, especially one that is only a few chapters behind the raws, then it's a completely different argument. Do you not care about understanding the story completely? Do you only care about how it begins & how it ends? I just don't get your thinking. And I'm not trying to be inflammatory here, I just want to understand. Because I find it only logical to want to read a good translation for good reading experience, so why intentionally preferring something that is so, so much less? Help me understand.
"don't you think you are bit too heated yourself?" listen buddy, i never called people cunts, stripper hoe (lol!), etc, but i got called all of that today by a scattering of you JUST because i said the scanlator's translations were pretty good and I'm GRATEFUL that they uploaded it here. like tf? i'm not even the scanlator and yall were like rabid animals! i got heated bc this is a ~pirate~ website and having scanlating haters report a legit fan-made translation is so stupid. we've been waiting for MONTHS, and it's so tiring to see people being bastards every time people try to upload here. last year, we had really good scanlations being uploaded regularly, but they ended up dropping this even though the eng trans was still far behind, the intense bullying from some of these life-less losers was too much. i don't mind rips (official pirate screenshots), i read them all the time. but what happened in this comment section is ridiculous and y'all f*cking suck.
also, from what another reader told me, chapters can be easily replaced/uploaded. it would have hurt nobody continuing with the fan translations and replace the chappies one by one with the pirated screenshots as each official chapter gets released.
but whatever, we are back to square 1. no new updates so wtf can i do but continue waiting since i have my bookmarks here. wish this manhwa wasn't so popular so the hypocrites would f*ck off and harass people in another comment section instead of this one.
Why are you lumping me together with the people who cursed you? I never called you any of that stuff. I understand it's frustrating to deal with people who called you unsavory things, but that highlights the importance of being level-headed & not going down the same low path. And I'm really trying to understand the argument on your side. I respect scanlators too, but not the kind that snipes away at others, even if it benefits me with faster updates, at the expense of quality. I truly value hard work & I value the money/time that they spent on behalf of all of us. But we need some kind of ethics too, no? If you see that in the past good scanlators got turned away for being treated roughly, all the more reason to also value the original official uploader here. How do you think they would feel, seeing that somebody just sniped it away just like that, & then people only shows appreciation just because they were able to beat them on the update, even though it was a stolen chapter that they just quickly clean & typeset with google translate... All I'm saying is, at the end of the day, we need to appreciate those who actually can provide quality, and with reasonable speed. We, as the freeloading readers, need to show sincere appreciation by being patient, and not by condoning snipers. Isn't that common sense? Isn't that good ethics?
I think the 1 thing that you don't get is: the uploaders, no matter what kind they are, they rejoice in the fact that people are reading what they uploaded. If a sniper took away that chance, and they still need to spend money to buy & upload the official chapter, then they'd feel very much disincentivized. They feel less inclined because they think everybody already read the bad chapter, so no one is going to appreciate what they're doing. So think about it from their point of view, instead of your own, and try not judge only on the basis on who can give you the fastest update. Even though we're on an illegal site, we still need to have some kind of standard too, and good ethics as well. Otherwise, we'd be slowly losing the good people who actually upload the good stuff.
"all the more reason to also value the original official uploader here." what? there hasn't been an original uploader because this originated as a fan scanlation. we've had huge gaps in uploads because a handful of people bully each scanlator that has tried to upload.
regarding sniping, i don't know. if it's posted here on mangago i'll prob read if im subscribed to the story. i know the site picks up scans from other sites. regardless, i have no ground to stand on and judge source of scans bc it's all piracy and as you can tell i'm not anti-piracy lol, or i wouldn't be here.

i get that; i actually used to think that way but what you'll notice is that someone will always be willing to upload ...which is interesting because some users are so ungrateful that i personally have no desire to go to such lengths to scanlate, but i guess they get some satisfaction out it (well, they also get my thanks, and i'm sure others feel like me too so there's that).

I called people who snatched away the series from those who I consider can provide a good quality product, as snipers. i think that's what people call them in the scanlation world too. And yes, I am talking about ethics, even though we are on an illegal site. All scanlations start from this illegal world too, and this kind of snatching & bickering have happened a lot in the past. I am still reading stuff on man ga dex from time to time, & to this day, this sniping thing is still a thorn on everybody's side there. But that site is pretty strict with rules, so the extent of the problem isn't as big as on here. That's why I said we need standard & ethics here too, because without them, we'll just spiral out of control. I think there is a person here who said they'd be taking care of uploading the official chapters, way before this debacle happened. I think we need to respect that person. They are willing to spend the money for us, after all. Plus, I love the series too, I have a strong desire to read it in the best translation possible, so I don't miss the nuances, that'd be easily missed with google translate. If you love the series too, you should feel the same desire, no? Isn't it great to be able to have a good reading experience, rather than reading a choppy, & sometimes incoherent/mistranslated chapters?

not necessarily. this manhwa is good (so far; i don't know how it ends) but it's not something i go to bed thinking about. although yesterday i did chuckle a lot thinking about how he wore the sexy outfit backwards.
i just want to know what happens dialogue-wise since i already have access to korean raws (newtoki), and if someone takes time to translate it then awesome bc that's time i won't be wasting with papago or google trying to translate this for myself.
i haven't had issues with the fan-made translations in the least - you may think today's was shitty but imo and compared to others I've read, it was pretty understandable. for me, what makes reading this manhwa super choppy are the hateful snakes that bully any fan scanlator regardless of the quality resulting in long gaps between uploads.
hmm, good luck bringing ethics into the conversation when you're already on the wrong foot reading pirated stories on an illegal aggregate website. if people want to be the uploaders of whatever story, then they need to be first/fast, or consistent enough that people know there won't be super long gaps between uploads.
Once they bring this series to Lezh*n, I'd buy it there, since that's where I have an account & coins saved up. I can't go creating/maintaining accounts on every publisher's site & buying up coins, because I only have limited funds, as of right now anyway. So yeah, I'm really hoping to read the legit chapters here in the meantime. I guess it's just me, but when I like a certain series, I really want to read it with proper translation, because that's what matters the most to me. Just because the sentences are understandable, that doesn't make them accurate or even correct in many circumstances. I've seen it quite a lot, where the grammars are correct & everything, but the meaning being conveyed is completely wrong. That's where I have issues with. To me, speed isn't everything. Especially so in this case, where the official is only a few chapters behind. Waiting a little bit more doesn't hurt, considering I will get superb quality in exchange. I guess I've learned to be patient from my years reading stuff on man ga dex, since respectable & good quality scanlators tend to take much longer to upload. But I guess different people have different priorities, so I'll just leave it at that. And i still do think ethics matter, even if it's only to respect each other's boundaries, for both readers & uploaders. We're all inhabiting the same platform after all, so trying to be civil to each other is important.
@xielian_inlove: I just joined in January. I just discovered this site this year. I was on another site before, but it had way less BL series there so I migrated here. The majority is majority, as can be clearly seen. I'm not creating an alternative fact here. Or are you saying there is a silent majority here?
