No they didn't. Psyche realized that acting strong made the sh*t prince thought and viewed her as Medea. And she knows that the prince is interested with Medea from the kiss scene if you remember. While the cardinal knew Medea was the one he had a fight the other night. He realized it because of Medea's statement. That is why those panels showed overlapping images of the two. I hope I was able to explain clearly. But this is just my opinion, Im not sure if Im correct.
